O presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) afirmou nesta quinta-feira (4) que há “risco” de o Congresso Nacional aprovar uma anistia aos condenados pelos atos de 8 de janeiro de 2023. Segundo ele, a extrema-direita segue com influência no Parlamento, mesmo após derrotas eleitorais.
“Agora, é outra coisa que nós temos que saber: se for votar no Congresso, nós corremos o risco da anistia, porque o Congresso, vocês sabem, não é um Congresso eleito pela periferia. O Congresso tem ajudado o governo, aprovou quase tudo que o governo queria, mas a extrema-direita tem muita força ainda”, disse Lula durante conversa com comunicadores e ativistas no Aglomerado da Serra, em Belo Horizonte. O encontro foi transmitido pelas redes sociais do presidente.
Na véspera, Lula se reuniu com o presidente do Senado, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), e reforçou ser contrário à proposta. Para ele, o perdão aos envolvidos na depredação da Praça dos Três Poderes representaria uma ameaça à democracia e à soberania nacional.
Enquanto Lula reforça a oposição à medida, o governador de São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos) — cotado como possível adversário presidencial em 2026 — lidera articulações em defesa da anistia. Nesta semana, Tarcísio esteve em Brasília para tratar do tema com o presidente da Câmara, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), e também se reuniu em São Paulo com o líder do PL na Câmara, Sóstenes Cavalcante (PL-RJ), e o pastor Silas Malafaia.
Segundo avaliação do grupo, o projeto de anistia deve ser aprovado na Câmara com mais de 300 votos, o que, em sua visão, tornaria a aprovação no Senado “inevitável” ainda neste ano.
