Diante da detecção recente de um caso de gripe aviária no estado vizinho do Rio Grande do Sul, o Paraná reforçou suas ações de vigilância e biossegurança para proteger o setor avícola estadual. Embora não haja registro de casos suspeitos ou confirmados da doença no Paraná, a resposta imediata busca preservar a saúde animal e garantir a continuidade das atividades econômicas ligadas à avicultura, uma das mais importantes do estado.
A Agência de Defesa Agropecuária do Paraná (Adapar) lidera os trabalhos de monitoramento, com foco nas aves silvestres, propriedades comerciais e criações de subsistência. De acordo com Rafael Gonçalves Dias, chefe do Departamento de Saúde Animal da Adapar, barreiras sanitárias foram reforçadas e os profissionais da agência continuam sendo treinados para detectar precocemente qualquer indício do vírus.
As ações seguem o Plano Nacional de Contingência para Influenza Aviária, coordenado pelo Ministério da Agricultura e Pecuária, que já está atuando para conter o avanço da doença no Rio Grande do Sul. O objetivo principal é evitar a propagação do vírus, proteger a cadeia produtiva e garantir o abastecimento alimentar da população.
A Adapar também enfatizou que não há riscos para os consumidores. A gripe aviária não é transmitida por meio do consumo de carne de frango ou ovos, desde que os produtos venham de estabelecimentos devidamente fiscalizados. Portanto, o consumo segue seguro e sem necessidade de restrições.
Reconhecido como um dos principais polos de produção avícola do Brasil, o Paraná adota uma postura preventiva para manter sua sanidade animal e preservar a confiança dos mercados nacional e internacional. A estabilidade sanitária do estado é um pilar tanto para sua economia quanto para a segurança alimentar dos brasileiros.
